This song was created to encourage kids to show humility and be correctable in everyday situations.I have found that many students are often unwilling to admit or consider their own faults, whether big or small. Hopefully, this song will get your class talking together about how they can "own it" and "fix it" in these situations.
I also think it's important to note that every single lyric of this song could be used for an adult too! We as teachers and parents are not "above" these lyrics. Children, in general, are going to act in a manner that is consistent with the model of behavior they see from adults. If we are humble in our interactions with other adults and with the kids, hopefully, they will be too.
